چکیده
abstract the aim of this experiment was the study of freezing tolerance of bellis perennis under controlled conditions and were arranged in a completely randomized design with three replications. plants after sowing and grow in the bed, at the middle of autumn (after hardening in natural conditions), in the 7-8 leaf stage put on the thermogradiant freezer with the 12 freezing temperatures (0,-2,-4,-6,-8,-10,-12,-14,-16,-18,-20,-22 oc). cell membrane stability was measured through electrolyte leakage (el) and survival percentage and regrowth of the plants after 3 weeks in cold frame were measured, by counting the number of plants and determining their proportional with the number of plants before freezing and measuring the dry matter, number of flowers and fully developed leaves. with decreasing the temperature el increased significantly (p<0.05) and reach to the maximum at -180c. survival percentage of plants did not affect until -16 but all the plants were died in other sever freezing. dry matter of the plants was significantly (p<0.05) decreased by lowering the temperature from -60c. lethal temperature 50 (lt50) of samples according to the el and survival were -15.2 and -17.0, respectively.

Freezing Tolerance of Chickpea Genotypes in Controlled Conditions
Lack of chickpea cultivars tolerant to extreme freezing is a limiting factor for autumn planting of this crop in cold areas. In this study, 58 Kabuli-type chickpea genotypes and a control (an international sensitive genotype) were planted in pots and first exposed to -10°C and then to -15°C after being acclimated in natural conditions. No destructive effect of -10°C was observed in plants. So, ...
متن کاملfreezing tolerance of grass species under controlled conditions
background and objectives: cold stress is one of the most important limiting factor for growth and development of grasses in temperate regions. freezing tolerance is highly different between plant species and between regions. the importance of grasses is due to widespread application in lawn beautifying, animal feeding, and erosion control. there are many differences between grass species in re...

متن کاملEffect of different ratios of municipal solid waste compost on growth parameters and yield of Marigold (Calendula officinalis Moench.) and Daisy (Bellis Perennis L.).
In a country like Iran, where soil organic matter is less than 1% and in most cases even less than 0.5 %, Municipal solid waste (MSW) is a permanent and inexpensive source of organic matter. Various experiments have indicated that applications of compost improve plant health, yield and nutritional quality. However, the quality of the compost determines the growth and the development of plants. ...
